About Jenny Internet

Two brothers started selling and installing dial-ups while still in high school. In 2004, they opened an IT company in Volksrust, Mpumalanga. After three years of being  “Jack of all trades” they decided to focus on fixed wireless Internet and Jenny Internet was born in 2007.

The company name is a result of having fun at work.  All their computer servers were named after supermodels, and the RADIUS server (the server that authenticates all Internet connections) was called Jenny.

After many years, Jenny Internet has grown in people as it has grown in coverage area.  The Jenny team is constantly finding innovative solutions to problems and continues improving everything about the business. Customers get world-class service, and now they have one less thing to worry about in life, unreliable slow internet.

Today Jenny has over 500 towers in Botswana, Lesotho, eSwatini, Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa. Deploying independent wireless networks throughout these areas allows Jenny Internet to continue their mission of connecting Africa to Information, working to connect every building in Africa to an uncapped Internet connection.

Jennyh Internet Vision

The Jenny Vision

A fixed uncapped Internet connection in every building in Africa

People use uncapped Internet differently to capped Internet. (no anxiety)
Most people in Africa do not have the luxury of uncapped internet and have to settle for mobile data.  Jenny Internet wants to change this.

Our vision is justified by our mission.

We believe that information is more positive than it is negative.
  • Allows mass collaboration

We also acknowledge the negative side and advise people to guard themselves against information that is:

  • Overwhelming
  • Divides people
  • Incorrect
  • Misleading
  • A waste of time, resources, and energy
